Here at Temple Beth Shalom we offer many opportunities for you to become involved. Share holidays and become part of our TBS family. We are open to the entire community and look forward to seeing you here in our Temple. 


Temple Beth Shalom has congregational breakfast meetings on the 3rd Sunday of the month. The temple office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Howard Rosenhouse, our temple president always has his door open to greet you and handle any matter of concern.


Our Sisterhood generally meets on the 4th Monday of the month and, in addition, sponsors holiday dinners, mother’s day events, lectures, card parties and a monthly book club. Please contact Beverly Kornfeld via

Our Judaica Shop is run by the sisterhood and offers lovely gifts for every holiday, jewelry, and religious articles. The shop is opens Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Please contact Renee Philips or Lillian Schwaid.

The Men’s Club meets on the 4th Sunday monthly and is open to men and women. Make new friends and enjoy our varied programs. We have interesting speakers – movies of interest – musical programs – and bagels – sometimes lox. Contact Milton Strumeier or Harvey Rubin.

Adult Education – Jewish Studies – energize your mind – adult education offers a Jewish-based program on the 1st or 2nd Sunday of the month. Interesting speakers, movies, concerts and other musical programs and the Israel scouts. Coffee & cake always served. Contact Michael Hamerman.

Temple Beth Shalom Choir – come sing with us – you don’t have to be a professional – you just need to enjoy singing – we sing in Hebrew, English and Yiddish. The choir meets at 10:45 am on Thursday mornings. Contact Fran Goldenberg.


Rabbi Balser’s class takes place at 9:30 am on Thursday mornings.

Judith Gannon’s Hebrew class is at 9:45 am on Monday mornings.
